Recipe Kalia Chicken
Ingredients:
500 Chicken pieces
4 Tbsp Yoghurt
1/4 Cup oil
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
2 Medium onions chopped
2 tsp Kaliya spice
1 Tbsp Minced garlic
1/2 Cup water
3 Tbsp Fresh coriander chopped
3 Green chillies chopped (optional)
Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan or wok. Add Cumin seeds.
- Add onions and sauté until brown.
- Add minced garlic and Kaliya spice.
- Cook for 2 minutes, adding water.
- Add chicken pieces and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add yoghurt and cook until pan leaves the oil.
- Add 1/2 cup warm water. bring to boil and simmer until chicken turns tender.
- Top up with green chilis (optional) and cilantro or fried onion (optional).
- Serve with rice, roti or naan.
