ALLSPICE WHOLE SEASONING PIMENTO
All spice is a dried berry of Pimento tree. It is a native to Mexico, and Central America. It was discovered by Christopher Columbus on one of his voyages. Also known as Jamaica Pepper, this aromatic spice has its own unique flavour. It is a great addition to both sweet and savoury dishes and brings a distinct warm and earthy aroma and full taste. One can expect the taste as a mix of Cinnamon, Cloves and Nutmeg. It contains a compound called “eugenol”. It has anti oxidant and anti inflammatory properties. In the olden days Allspice was traditionally used to relieve digestive complaints.
